Hey guys.

I have a laptop that I am not using now, and I have the HDD out of it.

I was wondering if I can hook that up to a desktop like a normal HDD?

Thanks.

yeah you could , or you could get an enclosure like i did and turn it into an external hdd

to put the hdd in the dekstop you will need one of theese

cool , glad we could help
but that dosent answer my question
what if it was sata ?

yeah your right i think , prolly just need a kit to mount it in a 3.5 bay

Out of interest would the HDD be much slower than a normal pc one, or does it all depend on the disk, sounds daft lol , but can you get laptop drives that run at 7200rpm? or does it produce too much heat.
