A Vote on Bad Threads

Humans are humans. Everyone will click it despite the fact that there is a warning. It's just the way our brain works. You think a teen will even think twice about clicking "No" when trying to access a porn site? You think someone will even think twice about smoking when they read the Surgeon General's Warning?

So it doesn't matter if it has a warning on it or not. People will still click it and view it.
That's a good point.

Re: A vote on bad forums

ComputerForums.org is a "forum". What borat_sagdiyev posted was a thread.

Please make this distinction. If this forum was closed, David would disable ALL posting on it!1

Re: A vote on bad forums

hmm isnt a forum an actual section, like social lounge? i used to think it was one site but heard its actually classed as like one section. hence computerforumS

Yes you're right, but we all know what he meant. We're all clearly refering to the threads, I guess, he should change the thread title.

Re: A vote on bad forums

Look, here's my opinion:

If you are going to put some nasty stuff, warn them and put a basic description for weak people, so themselves, can post their opinions. I'd find this better.

Re: A vote on bad forums

I agree, i think if there is a warning it should be ok.

One thing we could do tho, is make a special area for those kinds of threads. to keep them compleately separate from teh rest of the forum. Kind of like a "Viewer beware" section.

Re: A vote on bad forums

i think threads should be allowed with warnings. some of the stuff is important. the no, just no thread, for example, i didn't know about any of that stuff. i think it's nice to have a variety of things in the social lounge even if some threads require a warning for weak stomachs.

it's frustrating to have 1 in 10 threads be closed. people use the internet at his/her discretion. i understand that the forum needs to be kept in order, but i think some things that are being closed should be allowed.
