hey, I'm building a new computer and i want to get a 15,000 rpm HDD for my os and games.
I don't understand what an scsi controller is for, Do I not need one if my motherboard supports scsi HDD's?
Here is my new setup that I am ordering.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600

ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813131028
i want to get this for my primary-
Seagate Cheetah 15K.4 ST336754LW 36.7GB 15,000 RPM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822111145
So my question is, do I need a controller? If so, what does the controller do?
and if I don't need one, Does the HDD just plug straight in like a normal sata2?
Thanks ahead of time
