Xbox 360 controller not working right on Vista?

I have a question, while using my 360 controller on my computer, it seems to move off to the right or move my character or curser. But not in halo on pc or battlefront 1 on pc, but battefront 2 and battefield 2142 it has problems.
Any ideas? are there special vista drivers for the 360 controller?

Apparantly its a common problem with vista (microsoft on microsoft products gotta love ol bill)... try these below

Nope still same problem. IDK, I'm going to contact microsoft tho.

Just tried contacting microsoft, and some lady from India was trying to help me and my phone disconected. So we didnt get anywhere, probably wouldnt have tho. She said the controller is made for windows XP, so IDK, maybe Vista just cant do it. It doesnt work right on controlMK either.

yea. go into the settings of it and change the deadzone to the center.

It should be under game controllers in control panel.

(is this the same in Vista control panel not sure but should be somewhere in there)
