Ok, so I have vista installed, so than I went and made two more partitions on my HD, one for stuff and the other for XP, so after I install xp my computer automatically loads XP, doesnt even ask which OS I want to install. How can I make it so I can load vista or XP?

hmm mine was ok but i installed vista 2nd. you need to edit your boot.ini file. right click my computer, go to properties. then advanced. then startup and recovery and its there. just becareful and use google if your unsure

When your dual booting, you should always install the older OS first, that solves most problems

yea. how comes you installed vista then xp. surely your comp already had xp on unless....?

OK, since XP was booting and not vista, I installed vista next. Now I can't select XP it goes straight to vista, but I dont really care anymore.

Try this

1. Right-Click on My Computer and select properties
- (In Vista you can select View System Information from the Computer window.)
2. From the System Properties window select the Advanced tab
3. Push the Settings button under Startup and Recovery
4. Select the default OS from the Default operating system dropdown box.
5. Click OK twice.
