Creating a Domain

Hello all,

I was wondering if someone could explain to me how to create a domain. I just installed Windows 2003 server on a system and I want to create a domain for my household cpus, basically as practice. What are the steps I should follow? Thanks in advance.

what kind of domain? you mean like a www.something.com?

A domain that you can connect other computers too. Its the alternative to a workgroup which is more of a peer to peer network. A domain is like a hierarchal structure.

Basically you just need to understand how Active Directory works and make your server 2003 a domain controller. The "Configure Your Server Wizard" in Server 2003 is fairly easy to work through ... just assign the roles you want.
