Huh, I thought opterons were used more for servers.
They are, but they're very good processors in general. Very stable and reliable due to extensive testing (because they are for servers). Also extremely overclockable.

ok, do you think it will be quick, like loading windows and stuff??

Considering you have a raptor, windows will load quicker than ever. It's a great processor, speaking from personal experience. CS:S/BF2 run flawlessly. I didn't have any intentions to overclock it at the time of purchase, so if you don't either, it's definitely best bang for buck. But (if you have the money) the Opteron 165 is definitely another good choice for overclocking. I've never seen one that wasn't able to reach 2.5GHz, and most hit around 2.8-3GHz. Plus, it's dual core, so it'll work well with multi-threaded games. But like I said, I have no regrets (as of now :p) of sticking with the single core 4000. It's great, especially for how cheap it is. I can't believe it has fallen so much in price...

Haha! They are :p

Those suckers can push up to 3.2GHZ stable. that is insanely fast!

But, to answer your question, Compan, the 4000+ is a very good processor.
