As you can see, the 8800GTX rips oblivion to PIECES. I own a 7600GT, and let me tell you.. it doesn't stack up to one of those bad boys in the slightest.
You obviously have a gigantic bottleneck.

The 8800 GTX is powerful, but the architecture is nothing compared to what ATI thinks up. It's a bite off at best.
