physically, no. But there is something called mental trauma and there is an underlying thought that he could have been video taping or taking pictures of these women. Maybe he was doing just that. Invasion of privacy in this case is a very serious offence.

Videotaping or taking pictures through a small hole would probably not be too easy. But yeah it's possible. But if no pictures/video was taken then I don't really think it's a big deal.

It could be done with the latest spy cameras, the lens are about 2 millimetres across, but I doubt that the construction workers, all due respect, would think of that, but it IS a "big deal" for pete's sake!, as someone said, what about the stress caused when the holes were discovered, have you no respect for womens dignity?, I bet it would be a different I bet, if it was a girlfriend of yours!

Your hall of residence was probably the closest those pervy bastards could get to real women. Chances are he'll go home, take off his workboots, and start beating off to "Snow White does seven dwarves" or "Illegal Kazakh Girls Swimming Competition XVIII" on his flickery 21" TV. Probably doesn't have Internet access.

There was a case in St Andrews recently where a man was arrested for doing something similar, except he was spying on men, and hanging around rented student houses in the middle of nowhere instead of actual halls in the centre of town.

What if you walked in when that guy was peeping, and at that time your daughter was showering or changing in view. I don't think I need to tell you what I would do. I'm just saying, people see naked people all the time. I have no problem if people see me naked. Most of my female friends have probably seen me naked, I don't mind. I don't think anyone can get any emotional trauma if someone sees them naked. Sure watching from a hole in the wall is different than going swimming with friends or something but still it's not that bad.
