got the nvedia 8800gtx

The 8800 gtx is overrated by far. First of all, no computer part is worth 500+ dollars, but I bought it on the neighborhood market for $50.00. Of course it is not a reputable source, but it works if you don't have any money.

I used it and it improved my system quite a bit, but my 7600 works almost as good as the 8800 gtx. I know it is supposed to be soooooo..... much better, but I was a bit disapointed. Should I sell it or am I using it wrong?

If your 8800gtx is performing like a 7600 then you have some serious bottlenecks somewhere, whether it be your processor or RAM.

my 8800 gts is out performing some 7950Gtx's in sli, so if your gtx isn't doing anywhere near that well, either the card is bad (hence the $50.00) or like lac3y said you have some big bottlenecks.

Yea, you got a bottleneck somewhere... It should perofrm better then a 7600 in benchmarks.

However benchmarks and game play are two different things.

Yeah, but even in DirectX 9 applications it still should be amazing.
