Hey guys.

I'm looking to get a new power supply for my computer as I'm getting a new graphics card, but I dont know what type of PSU is compatible with my motherboard. I'm not asking anyone to like, pick a certain PSU, just the specs it would need to work. I was thinking about getting a 450-500 watt PSU.

Here's my mobo.

Here are my other specs, if they important.

1 gig ram
300 watt PSU
Amd Athlon 64 3400+ @ 2.4ghz
200 Gig HD
Geforce 6600 128mb PCI-E

Thanks guys!

Well yeah I mean like, what would the specs be. like proper pins and waht not. or does anyone work?

Almost all power supplies conform to what is called the ATX standard. It basically states how big computer components should be so they can properly fit inside a standard case. So any power supply that has enough power should theoretically be fine, but you have to account for the quality of the power supply because there are more specifications than just the wattage. This is why it's better to buy a known reputable brand name power supply.

But yeah, I would recommend this power supply, I've had it for about 4 months and it's worked in my system flawlessly. Besides that, it's a great bargain:

Thanks a bunch dude.
So heres the ATX specs for that mobo, or say it says on the site.
- ATX 24-Pin power connector
- 4-pin ATX 12V power connector

would that work with that particular PSU? Cause i see that it says 20 + 4 pin. Is that the same as the 24 pin power connector?

Yeah, it's compatible with both 20 and 24 pin. For 24 pin, you plug in both the 20 pin and an additional 4 pin one for it.
