Building low end system

Hi - My friend came up to me today - and asked me if I could build a computer for his 5 years old daughter(she will be mostlikely playing little kiddie games)- he gave me his old computer and told me to "make it work"

I take a look at it - and It's pretty ancient - well ,: Intel 3 @500mhz , Working Harddrive, 3dfx Voodoo Banshee Videocard, 200W PSU,230MB mem,CD-ROM reader,soundcard etc... -

He gave me his budget ---> $150

I was thinking of upgrading MOBO, Video Card, Memory,and Processor - hopefully that PSU will handle everything afterall - The PSU is some "Sparkle Power" FSP200-61GT" -

Anyone has any other suggestions for MOBO,SPU,VGA,RAM,(psu) ???

It will be greatly appreciated

Please bear in mind that this is low-end system for a child _

I would go for an Athlon 64 over a Sempron if he can afford it. Other than that, since it's for a little kid, it should be fine.

Yea- i personally would prefer Athlon as well - but the budget is very tight

Do you think there will be significant difference in gaming performance in the Athlon over the Sempron ???

pretty nice for price and what was wrong with the p3 desktop

cos its for a 5 year old kinda games you realy are not looking at any performance issues , that p3 would run childs games easily
