CPU bottlenecking GPU?

Im going to order another stick of 512 MB DDR cuz i have a 512 sitting around cuz i cant run it in dual channel. Anyways, a lot of people have told me games like CS Source take a lot of CPU power... and that a faster cpu would make the difference.

What about hard drive management? I don't think anyone's mention that idea yet. Partition your SATA drive and have the OS on a smaller partition than your data parition. Then create a separate swap parition. Next you can also setup RAID 0 for better access times. Get a couple of Raptor 10,000 RPM drives.

Hard drive doesn't affect FPS in a game. It only affect load times.

Funny thing is like BF 2, i get about 40-60 fps pretty stable. I should be getting what 80?

Now im gonna go ahead and order a 512mb stick to run 2gb dual channel.
Should i order a athlon 64 3800 X2?
For some reason everyone thinks its gonna fix it.
