Why did they discontinue the Athlon Manchesters? I bought a Athlon X2 4600 a while ago, and it turned out to bea manchester. Newegg doesn't sell that model anymore, why is that? Did they totally suck?

No they just switched to a newer process, which produces less heat, cheaper to make, etc.

k, thanks, just making sure I didn't get jipped. My Manchester produces a small amount of heat, highest i've seen it get was like 45 celcius
