Soon ATI is going to release its next series of Cards the R600 , and its going to be badass.

So if you can afford to wait i would wait for them.

Here's what i have so far, case is what you showed me
Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811144076
Processor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819115004
Video: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814102067
i don't know what's a good, cheap mobo for these
i also need ram.
and do you know if my ultra ATA/100 hard drive will work? i have a bunch of old hard drives and i don't know if they'll work in it.

Looks good so far but i alreay answered your question in Post #11, your drive will work as long as you get a board that supports them

such as the one i already posted it supports 1 x ATA100 up to 2 Devices

Here is the link to it a second time and the Ram to go with it.

RAM

PATA is an old technology and many boards only have them because many CD-rom drives use the interface.

If you have more than 2 devices you need on PATA i would look for a motherboard with 2 X IDE connectors for up to 4 devices.

Okay, thanks alot.
I don't need a sound card or anything else i'm forgetting do i?
I have mobo, case, power, video, processor, ram.
That it?

you have your Own Hard drives and CD/DVD drives correct?

and you can use the onboard sound that comes with the motherboard just fine. :D

Now that is a nice system for $700

But i would look into a quality power supply.
And of coarse you gotta find a case that you like, thats personal preference, as long as its ATX you will be fine.

That RAM won't work with that board, too high voltage.
