hey, can i just go down to the bank and cash a check? or do i need like a guardian with me?

Depends how the account was opened, if they have their name on the account aswell or not

if you have an account at the bank, then yes. BUT, since you don't, they probably won't cash it. just go to a GOOD bank, and open an account with them...then you won't have a problem with that again

um, you can go to a 'check-cashing' place or a local grocery store (both charge fees)

It's normally at least 7% of the cheque.

Is the cheque in your name?

go to the bank that issued the check if possible they will normally honor it.

Um is this check a check for a large ammount that you recieved in the mail? Be careful there is a scam where you get a check cash it they cancel it and your stuck to pay the bank for the value of the check.
