its the windowsxp mce with the coupon for vista, would the vista dvd work on both comps?

Yeah - Proberbly. I have HEARD that windows lets you activate it on 3 PC's, but then, you wont be able to activate for another 6 months (They clear their Activation DB every 6 months, i think)

ive recently updated the sound card drivers to try and get COD2 to work with optimized settings. but ill try again.
But im wondering since that first like you gave me it says just upgrading from 2000, i didnt just upgrade.

dude im telling you, reinstall from a regular cd because that dell cd installs the drivers for that original pc which conflict with everything.

Next time you get a STOP error, post the full code here so we can diagnose the problem properly. Everything so far is just guesswork, and it cant be answered properly till we get the code
