It can be fitted with software in a matter of seconds, then when it's called on a pre-arranged number, it doesn't ring, viabrate or illuminate, but the earpiece stays on at full volume, as they say, it has to be tampered with by someone known to the victim, so this opens up a lot of possibilities, all of them illegal.
Now I expect the usual stuff, that's only natural, but look beyond the jokes, this is a Bond gadget made possible, international espionage, Banking details, an aid to bomb plots, the possibilities are endless, it's frightening, apparently the software can be bought on the internet for a few £'s, $'s, whatever.

well if your important enough to know information most don't, then people shouldnt be playin with your phone, thats how i see it

meh, technology is crazy nowdays.. it is very possible.. and is most probably being used at the moment..

Yeah, you can get all sorts of software for the motor razrs and its show easy to flash them / edit the os files

Everyone should keep hold of their cellphone as if it was their wallet because to many things can be done.

Mark, this was on the BBC, & as you well know, Auntie Beeb is very selective, so we can be pretty sure this this is a fact, as to some member's query as to how this could be deployed, it's said that one way, could be that a guy is in the home of his girl friend, & he is suspicious that she is seeing another, so, at the end of the evening, he leaves, taking her phone with him, the next day he fits the software, that evening he calls round, & she says that she has lost her phone, he helps her to search for it, finally he "finds" it, & they settle back for drinks & watching TV, whatever.
This scenario is only conjecture, but they think it is highly likely to be one of the more basic uses of this technology.
