LG Combo drive: Blu-Ray and HD DVD

Haha, I found this player ironic, because a while ago LG announced that they were making a combo HD-DVD/Blu-Ray drive, then a little after that they announced they were going only Blu-Ray. Now CES '07 has come around, they've announced they're doing a combo drive. LG needs to make up their minds...jeesh.

But at least, it's still a better choice to have over a Sony BLu-Ray burner. The LG can read Blu-Ray, HD DVD, DVD and CD.

I know, but it's annoying seeing companies flop-flop constantly.

You could always go with Time Warner Brother's new format, the Total Hi-Def disc or THD for short. It combines HD-DVD and Blu-Ray media into one disc so that either HD-DVD players or Blu-Ray players can play it.

Sweet, i love LG products... i think there is going to be a tug of war between the company's who bring these wonderful new toy's and the consumer's who want them. either way i think the consumer will be happy with the results.

ok, dumb question, what does blue-ray do, how can you get better than hd-DVD?

how far are they going to go?...where you are actually looking at it, as they are making it live in the studio?

I can't wait for a HD drive, wish they would hurry up with dropping the price

Actually, I concentrate myself more on HVDs, or Holographic disc:

Those beasts can take up to 3.9TB of storage!
