Desktop Icons "can not delete file"

I was Fixing up my moms computer because my 6 year old sister got a hold of it for the past few months (enough said)... and theres 3 at&t yahoo messenger icons.....and when i go to delete them they say "fail to delete"..how can i delete them

and what else can i do to help..Fix it up..sech as a registry cleaner...a free one if so where can i get it!

An easy way to fix your startup is using a program that I really enjoy using. It works with the simple click of a button to turn off or on startup programs. This will normally reduce the processes that start up with the computer which will allow the computer to run at a fast speed using less ram. http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml go there and download the "Standalone EXE Version." Also, you might want to run some spyware checks. I recommend using LavaSoft Adaware SE (freeware).

It works great, I use it on my computer, especially after I format my drives and install all of my software. Because most software that you install wants to start up with your computer, when there is no need for it to. So its a great way to enhance the performance of your system. Plus, it is super easy to do.
