Windows XP Administrator question

For some reason i cant use the task manager,when ever i try it says it is disabled by the system administrator.I am the administrator! i have done a virus scan and nothing,an adware and spyware scan,nothing and a rootkit scan,nothing! how do i re-enable it??
 
well you may have to boot into safe mode and select the admin account that is available there, but i dont know how to enable the task manager.

Task manager can be disabled by either group policy's or registry settings.

Yeah assuming they didnt restrict your access to the registry (And assuming it's not a group policy)
 
Theres also a chance that something is corrupt on the computer. So ya might wanna try the system file checker. Ya can run this from the command prompt by typing sfc /scannow. You need your XP disc to do this.
