I have $240...tell me if this is a good upgrade!

i know man..what im saying is that every review from a gamer on the dual core says it SUCKS!

im really sorry but i dont feel like downgrading!

ive played games on low graphics with 20fps for long enough man lol

ne ways i just need a little more help

wow man...i actually realllly like that find man

powerful processor....everything i need in the mobo ...and nice ram....im definately thinking about doing it...im just going to read reviews on how well the proessor does in gamelpay even though i know its good...i just gotta see it for my eyes lol thx

also thx for the early morning reply lol!

the +3800x2 looks reallly good now that i have gone through many website taht have used it for wutever like gaming computer setups...im really liking it..and my multi tasking (10 internet pages +photoshop+ msn+aim) would be brung about much easier lol.....also with better ram and processor faster load times on my bf2 :)

yeah dual core isn't necissarily better for gaming yet. operating systems and games aren't all the way dual threaded so your actually robbing performance from your self. Until Vista is a main stable and all games are made dual threaded single core CPU's will still be best for gaming.

Now when running lots of apps and multitasking.. thats another store.

that is very true...
but even the x2 3800 has 2.0GHz working in parrallel so its going to be faster than his P4....assuming I have the parrallel right and its not 2 X 1.0GHz cores

yeh that would suck if it was 2x1.0ghz cores..but i dont think it is..maybe i should just stick with single core to be more sure?

maybe like a 3500+?

idk ill look up on that 3800+x2 because dual core is still better overall!

http://www.tomshardware.com/2005/08/01/dual/

thats what my system would be pretty much..just a 7600gs which is newer but not PCIe...but still a great card

and i gig of dual channel ram just like they did..except ddr2 so it would run faster :)!
