Virus detected on my flash drive

speedy05 that really is not advice that is going to help him right now. And also, he may have just gotten the virus from an opened email.

Well, how did the reformatting go? Did it solve the problem?
if worst comes to worst, you can call the manufacturer and ask them hwo to go about completely formatting your flash drive.

try the usb drive in another computer and see if the virus thing pops up there just to be sure its actually on the drive so you dont format for no reason.

no i dont think you should try it on another computer because if it is a virus thats spreads when used then you will just infect other computers and then your going to be screwed, i agree with the reformatting then running the anti-virus program, thats probably your best choice then make sure you try and find that infected file also and dont just go through deleting things on the computer because from past experiences i deleted a file from /c: and i completely messed up my old computer it did the same thing and made it to where i couldnt open any other files
