there arnt jumpers for master and slave on sata drives.
 
oh, ok just wrote that in because in the bios it says:

SATA Channel (a number) Master (and then the hard drive)

and for your IDE drive what does it say exactly?
 
check to make sure you have a working/bootable windows XP CD rom

Try to boot again

If that dont work

Reset the BIOS (restore the defaults)

and try again

*and make sure you set your boot priority again

CDROM, then HDD
 
ok so to check if it works just put it in another comp and do what? should it pop up with something? windows i mean
 
Figured it out, sorry for the trouble. i wont post the problem since i would probably be banned from the internet...
 
You should post it mate. It might be something stupid, but it might help someone else. And everyone has to start somewhere

My guess is you wernt using a bootable Windows XP cd-rom.
