AVG Running out!!! :(

With Avg free anti virus not being free anymore as of January something I need to replace my anti virus program. So my question is what is the next best Free, Non trial but truly free, Anti virus?

just get the new version of avg.
They are discontinuing 7.0, but 7.5 (the new version) is still free.

The newer version has a new Control Panel and is much easier to use.

looks a lot better than the other one did that's for sure. It's more XP-like.

seems like we've had quite a few people thinking grisoft was going to discontinue AVG free edition....

i heard the new version isnt compatible with windows 98 and i also experience trouble when trying to install the new version saying it wasnt compatible?

well microsoft doesn't support 98... so there is no point... there is no excuse for still using 98...
