In need of WIRELESS routing and adaption help

I'd go with Dlink or Linksys. Linksys is a great brand, I have a Linksys router and it hasn't failed yet even here in the summer when the temperature in the house can reach 90+ degrees. I could be wrong but isn't linksys also owned by cisco or somehow affiliated or something?

The new one out there is wireless N, i'm really happy with my wireless N desktop card, I don't have the wireless N router though, but its always Verygood/excellent and I'm the farthest away from the router(which is G). I think it has a built in wireless booster, and its up to 300mb/s. Ok just looked at the package its up to 1,400 ft. away, thats outdoor environment, but its should still work fine. ALthough they are pricey.

USB adapters are generally slower that PCMCIA or PCI devices. Get an adapter actually goes in the computer, or laptop. Will be alot faster than USB..

By the way, this D-Link wireless adapter is on sale now. I'm so upset about it because they were $19.99 a week ago when I got it for a gift to a friend (with rebate) and now they're $17.99 (with rebate). Well $2 difference is ok I guess. I also have this wireless adapter---too good:

Ok now this wireless router is on sale and damn, look at the huge rebate this sucker has!!!! People would be a fool not to jump on this deal!!!!! Oh, I also use to have this wireless router but messing with the firmware locked me out of it--other than that, it worked great:

no problemo! I still don't get why they need the B, G, N, MIMO, and all that extra junk. Why not stick to one letter and just go from there such as B1, B2, B3 etc. instead of B, G, N etc.? or better yet? just go 1, 2, 3, and so on!
