Well looking at it there it just looks like virtual machine software. And there are better VPC software than that. There is microsofts version called VirtualPC (free to download) and there is VMware aswell (free trial), They basically provide virtual computers on ya pc, by using some of your pc's resources, and by creating virtual HDD's on ya comp. They are handy for testing different OS's on ya computer (ive got about 5 VPC's setup on mine now. You can also create networks etc with them

Try VMware then, from what i hear, it works better with linux distros
EDIT
In fact come to think of it, do ya realise ya can run ubuntu off the CD? You dont need to install it to ya HDD, just run the live CD

Ubuntu rocks, its my favorite Linux distribution along with gentoo.
