Lock Files

Is there any way to "lock" my files so that my Anti-virus can't access them?

Basically what's happening is when I put my thumb drive into my PC, it's picking up some of my shady files as viruses, and automatically deleting them. So besides disabling my anti-virus, is there any way to protect these files?

You could try making them read only filesand see if that helps

Yeah, I tried that, it still deleted it. If I rename the files, will it still detect them?

What antivirus are ya using? Is there not an option somewhere to ask you before deleting something?

It's actually the school's antivirus, which is why I didn't want to disable it (even though I can), but getting my files deleted every time I try to edit some stupid report at school is annoying...

Anyway, it's Norton Symantec - ew. There's no confirmation, once a box pops up it's just the box that's telling me which files it deleted.

lol "shady" u mean some password finders to get every file off the network, no no i never used that...
