I don't like metal cuz it's just noise to me, you need some rythem. Some rock is good though, but others I do not like.

if thats the case, I doubt you've listened to a whole lot of metal.. there is some really good stuff out there, and I mean in terms of being melodic, having rythem, not being total screamo or anything stupid like that.

well either you just haven't listened to many different bands, or then there must be something wrong with our ears. There is rhythm (sp?) in sooo many metal songs. (probably like 95% of them) There might be some bands that play every instrument as fast as they can, which makes crappy metal. But you just need to find the good stuff
