ATI or Geforce?

From the looks of it, that x1950Pro is the best deal if you can put out $200.. however, the 7600GT is still pretty good if thats all your willing to spend.

It runs most games at medium to high settings with no problems, the only game i've tried that has given me some problems is Oblivion.. but since I mostly play counter-strike source, it hasn't bothered me.. css runs awesome on this card.

Yeah that basically sums it up.

I'm getting a GeForce 7950GT 512mb card for my friend's PC.. he's finally replacing an old relic.. 700mhz amd duron with 384mb of ram and a GeForce2! (I upped the ram from 128 and upped the video card from a nVidia Vanta a while ago..)

Yeah, always go for the best cards. The companies are too similar with cards to even care whos it comes from.
Both types of drivers are good enough now too.

I have had both and they are both great companies.
