besides these i will be stealing my dlink DWL-AG530 wireless card, and my two ASUS DVD +- RW burners from my current machine. lemme know what you think.

How much you are getting that RAM for? I can tell you right now PROMOS chips are crap. You want Micron D9's or Elpida chips.

not sure. (i get a discount through work) but i've used them before, and never had a problem with them

yes, not much at first, but i will be. (don't wanna fry out a good board right outta the box)

I will tell you right now, PROMOS chips won't clock that nicely. D9's are what you want. But let me warn you, they don't come cheap in 2GB flavors anymore. You used to be able to get them for 230 for 2GB, now they are 300 bucks. D9's are you best bet for overclocking chips. 1Ghz @ 4-4-4-8 timings w/ 2.2V. Its extremely nice.

cool, and they are called D9's right? or do they go by a different name?

oh, and i for got a zalman CNPS9700 LED Proc fan

the product name from each company is different. But the chips they use are called either D9GMH or D9GKX. I'll give you a list of the RAM modules. But the Team Group and the Crucial's are going to be the cheapest.
Crucial Ballistix:

These will sometimes go onsale for 285, so i suggest you wait a little.
G.Skill 6400HZ's.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820231065
Corsair 8500C5D (I'm pretty sure these are D9) As again, corsair is extreme pricey.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820145043
Mushkin 8500's (again, pretty sure D9, but pricey as hell also)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820146677
Team Group 6400's
http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-44410-800mhz-p-1645.html?osCsid=65132879bc356206ab4be507a26af7bd
With the Team Group memory, the DDR2-1000 DDR2-6400 (3-4-3-8) all use D9GMH so they are 100% guranteed D9.
http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-3338-p-1676.html?osCsid=65132879bc356206ab4be507a26af7bd

As you can see from this list, D9's are still roughly around the $300 dollar range. But they are the best overclocking chips you can get. Some have been known to reach 1.3Ghz with a nice (2.7V) flow of voltage.
