sli'ing?

Do you need a motherboard that says SLi compatible, or does it just need two pci-e express slots?

If it supports Sli it will come with the SLi cable.

You can SLI with any motherboard that has 2 PCI-Express 16x slots (physical x16, not electrical).

Yessir, any non-nvidia chipset that doesn't support SLi you will need a hacked driver. As of now, there are NO hacked drivers for G80, but hopefully that will change in the near future. With the DFI Ultra-D, you can connect to bridges on the chipset to enable it to a SLI-DR. New revisions have a layer of epoxy to prevent this, but you can always scratch off the epoxy.

God dam DFI . That sucks for G80 users

Don't blame DFI, its all nvidia's fault. They epoxyed the chips, not DFI. Nvidia also said they won't enable SLI on the 975x just because they thing 8x 8x is not enough. But in reality, x16 x16 doesnt give that much of a performance boost. 1% difference at max. So yeah, stupid nvidia.
