As of right now these are the parts I'm thinking of ordering.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16811119068 - case

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813131022 - motherboard

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130062 - graphics card

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16817103937 - PSU

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820145539 - RAM

http://www.newegg.com/product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103735 - CPU

all of this is compatible, correct? the main concern is if the RAM works with the motherboard. i'm no computer whiz, but the RAM is ddr2 675, and when im looking at specs of mobo it says the DDR2 Standard is DDR2 800. does that affect anything?

and also, the IDE/PATA slot in the mobo is where i can put a ATA HDD, correct?
thanks guys.

That RAM will work. The number is just the speed. As long as the pin is correct it will work.

It all seems ok, just make sure that all these parts are well reviewed by customers and editors alike. If your motherboard supports PATA, if i recall correctly I think it will support a standard ATA hardrive, I never even thought those were still available on the market, since the standard is SATA. But any way I suggest you also request a supported devices list from the manufacturer if it is not available when you buy the motherboard. What I have always done is purchased the motherboard first and after careful research I put everything together, but from what I can see I think you are ok!

yeah i was going to go with the ddr2 800 but the mother board i was wanting didnt support it so i had to get the 667 which isnt much lower. if i could i would go with the ddr2 800. is there any certain budget your looking for

It won't support 667 because the BIOS doesnt have the dividers to get the RAM to 800mhz at stock speeds. So...just overclock and you should be able to get there.
