How do I?

Turning off the firewall didn't do the trick. I still get this message in the local area status: Limited or no connectivity. It says that this happened cause the network didn't assign a network address to this computer. However everything works well, which s really important.

i see no reason for that error if everything is working right... check security settings on the router/switch and laptop. if those are not the cause of the error, try a LAN driver update and see if that helps.

In that case, go to the options for your connection and clear the checkmark from "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity" to get rid of the message.

That got rid of the message. It's the first time this has happened. If it persists I'll try a driver update. Thanks.
