DO NOT use the VIA drivers on that motherboard! They are the wrong ones. It has an nForce4 chipset. Download the correct nForce4 drivers from Nvidia HERE.

I was under the impression that he is using his driver CD that came with his mobo

yes i was using the mobo disc, shall i not and use the ones im currently downloading

The drivers I linked to are the latest release, whereas the ones on the installation disk are more than likely an older set.

Did you get the motherboard new? It seems odd that there would be VIA drivers on the installation CD.
