Sounds to me like ya havent done it right. Sounds like you have done either a clean install to another partition, or ya have done another installation to the current partition, instead of repairing it. Basically all the links to the games etc arent correct because of the fresh installation. It can probably be sorted, but i would personally wipe the lot and do a clean installation and put this one down to experience. Take a look at my link in post #5 to do this

If I wipe the lot will it get rid of all my files? And how do I wipe it?

If you wipe the lot you will lose all the data, so if there are any files you need like pics etc, then back them up first. Check my link above for instructions.

You will get the option to install the OS to a certain partition, when you get there you will have the option to delete your partition, you would need to do that, and then just recreate a partition after. This will wipe everything off your system. Then its just a case of running through the installation as normal
