The computer we use for office work / casual internet surfing, but had a Power Supply failure and after replacement has freeze/slowdowns every 10 minutes or so and then fixes itself (can't load videos or high quality graphics without a slowdown, or play even little shockwave games without a slowdown. It is:

Pentium 4 1.7 Ghz (Willemate processor I think (supposed to be very bad))
512 MB SDRam
70 GB Hard Drive

Our family friend received a new computer for $300 but he doesn't want it anymore (slightly used) and is selling it to us for $200:

Celeron D 3.33 GHz
512 MB DDR-SDRam
80 GB Hard Drive

We don't want to spend more than $200 on a replacement computer. It is merely a secondary office computer and we are on budget.

Is it worth the $200 to replace our breaking down Pentium 4 computer?

Thanks so much..

Yes, he is a good friend of ours. He only got it a couple of weeks ago. He showed it to us at his house when we told him our office computer was dying. Everything was working fine that we tried.

We just don't know if it's a good deal technologically priced-wise.

I'd say it's a good deal. If it's just for an office computer and not for gaming or anything then it will be plenty to get your work done.
