Get in touch with the manufacturer and ask them if they have the .INF files for the stick, then you can manually install them. Using a powered hub might help aswell. And also try removing the drivers completely thru safe mode then reinstal them. Failing that, i would say ya screwed, but what can ya expect when ya using an 8 yr old OS.
