I have XP pro x64 edition, and a core 2 duo and just wanted to make sure that they were compatible, I think they are but just want to make sure...

Yes, the Core 2 Duo is 64-bit, so yes, it will work.

Webhead, the only problems with it are the drivers. They're a pain to get.

Yeah I have noticed that, particulary with old hardware.

[slightly off topic question]: Is Windows Vista going to have a seperate 64 bit version or are the two versions in one?

Also, normal software works on 64 bit too right? Like games and stuff, and I read somewhere that 64 bit runs faster than regular 32 bit xp is that true?

they're able to jam all Vista versions of both 32-bit and 64-bit versions on to one dvd? Hmmm ... from what I've seen you can only have one or the other ... not both on one dvd. All Vista versions (i.e. Ultimate, Business, Premium ...) of 32-bit will be on a dvd and all versions of 64-bit will be on its own dvd. If I'm wrong ... please direct me to a link to read up on it. Thanks.

So, does anyone know if the other software like games will still work with the 64 bit edition?
