i just bought an Intel Pentium Processor to replace my Intel Celeron D, and i was wondering if theres a safe way to put it on without bending any of the pins? and will i have to get a new heatsink with a cooler? or can i just re-use my old one?

i bought an Intel EM64T pentium 4 2.66GHz processor

What socket? If its LGA775, then the pins are on the motherboard itself. So its just a pull out and drop in process. You can also reuse your heatsink and fan.

nah it will be compatible i just checked your link. im not sure, but your celeron D 3.2ghz may be better than your pentium 4 but i dono cuz the cache on the p4 is higher...

at any rate the p4 will have more muscle behind it. most new proc's come with a heat-sink and fan of their own, so you shouldnt need to buy a new one.
