Hi guys,

If i wish to make my dell inspiron 4000 bluetooth enabled (so i can transfer files from mobiles to laptop etc), do i just buy one of these card with drivers and slot it into my laptop:

PCMCIA Cardbus Bluetooth Adaptor PC Card

Also, does it matter which make card i buy? or does it have to be a dell card? as the ones i have seen are toshiba and phillips

you could also get a usb stick that does the same
you can buy one of these from the mobile phone store
and no it wouldn't have to be dell branded

I had purchased a blue soleil usb stick, but the stupid thing doesnt work because the drivers are not right etc etc, went on their website and theres lot of complaints etc, so thought id just get a simple card.

can't you find a driver download for the usb stick, if not then yes a pcmia bluetooth card will work just the same , just make sure your laptop has a pcmia slot

yeah you would be able to watch tv on your laptop with that
but you could connect a better(roof) arial to get a better signal
also take into consideration the system specs listed on the page and ensure your laptop meets these
