For Christmas i want to get some more memory for my computer but i realized theres cl2 and cl3 memory. I forgot what type of memory i put in my computer but i think it might be 512mb cl2. i want to get another 512mb stick from tigerdirect.com but they only are selling cl3 memory. If i already had cl2 memory in my computer then added cl3 would it work fine?

The only thing CL2 or 3 does is just a timing. If you put CL3 and CL2, the CL3 will either go CL2 or will stay on CL3. Yes, it will work.

I'm guessing that the cl2 would slow down to cl3. Since thats what happens with the clock speeds too, all run at the speed of the slowest one. But yes, it will work.

Yup, the CL3 and CL2 memory will be just fine together. As mammikoura said, the quicker timed CL2 memory will clock down to CL3, but you won't notice any real difference in speed. :D
