help with altec lansing speakers

you just need drivers for your sound card, not the speakers plugged into it

ok then how do i find out the card i have with out oeping the case

Did your computer have speakers working before ya got these ones? If it did then just plug ya new ones in and it should work. Also we need more information, ya not giving us much to work with are ya?

and the sound is built into the motherbord so

So the speakers don't work or what? Whats the problem?

Have you checked to see that the sound isn't muted in windows? Click on the little speaker icon down in the right hand corner and make sure that "mute" isn't checked. Is the sound turned up on the speakers? Are the speakers plugged in? Have you tried a different set of speakers? Are you plugging the speakers into the right place on the back of the pc?

Thats about all I can think of right now......we need more info.
