Are socket 370's still popular on the market or would i need to get a new motherboard?

I currently have a 933MHz processor but i would like to upgrade

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Well, you won't find anything new for that type of board, however, you can get them at used local shops. The fastest CPU will have you to look if your board handles Tulatin cores. The fastest CPU is 1.33GHz.

nah socket 370 is only for pentium 3's.
Err, no. S370 are for the Celeron cores, PIII and the C3 Samuel cores from VIA.

Tulatin is the latest PIII core for the S370.

Of course they are! They run even without a heatsink for a 48 hour run and longer!
1.33GHZ as well.

Clockspeed isnt everything. Per clock cycle, VIA chips are VERY inefficent. a 1GHZ VIA C3 is roughly like a 500mhz PIII
