Maybe those two sticks are defective, but just out of like that: Are you inserting the RAM with the stickers facing left?
Also, RMA these two and you should get working ones.

As far for power, how much wattage does your PSU have?

And no, the memory controller wouldn't be the problem on the motherboard. You woud have inserted the two sticks and it would have beeped no RAM.

Incompatability with the CPU?

Well, if te CPU would be incompatible, the board wouldn't beep.

Yea they are deffinatly in right and the PSU is 550W.

EDIT: I've narrowed it down to the proccesor or the motherboard not working, my bet is on the motherboard. looks like i'll have to send it back
