Windows Live Messenger-(error)

I am using Msn Messenger 7.0 and wanted to switch to Windows Live Messenger but when i started to install it it gave me an error

here it is:
Windows Live Messenger setup has failed with error code:'1603'.Please got to Windows Live Messenger website http://messenger.live.com to download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger.

i am using Windows xp and Have a pentium 3 processor.

If anyone could help me please reply here or message me.

You need windows XP to run it, have a look here for the system requirements

There is your problem right there. That version of windows will be the culprit to all your pc's problems....guaranteed.

I'd reccomend upgrading to Windows XP ASAP.

If you go there and scroll down and then download the clean up utility package. Then install / run it and see if that works.
