you open the latch (that little thing on the right)

you align the cpu properly

you close the latch. you put on the heatsink.

installing cpu is very simple.Assuming you have already removed the heatsink and fan and old cpu,you just put the other cpu in making sure that your triangles on cpu and socket line up and the push the lock lever down and it should have no resistance. Most newer cpus and sockets are 1 way fit only.also you will want some tpe of thermal paste on the back of cpu usually a thin layer.

i have a very good feeling about this bord
and the built in ethernet and high deff sound ant bad ether
i was thinking of a intel quad core like the 700 buck model (its like 2.2G a core)
2 G of ram and the 7950 geforce (the 8800 r a little out of my price range right now) pluse the 7950 r very cheep
a 300 gig hard drive and a light scribe dvd player and ill be good
when stuph starts coming down ill probly add more ram(its exspandble to 8) so ill ad like 2 G a year
and mabey every other year a new graphics card and deff ganna get a hd dvd player soon
