Your Country

lol, and that my friends is why we had a revolution

Actually we weren't that heavily taxed. The average British person paid about 20x what a colonial paid. Example for you to pay 1 dollar per person for the tea tax you'd have to drink 1 gallon a day.

One gallon of hot tea every day sounds like a wee bit much. Or the stamp act I believed increases the cost of paper by what was it 1.5%? Not a significant figure at all.

In fact when Thomas Jefferson was in New England he was told by the colonies to accept no deal which gave America representation in Parliament because they new 2 or 3 delegates of American background isn't going to do crap to the Parliament when it comes to issues which are important for Americans.

Know your history ;)

OK, I'll backtrack and do my two home towns as well:

Edinburgh:

Pros:
Buzzing culture and tourism
Beautiful city
Damn good education
The Best New Years' Party in the world!!

Cons:
If you've lived there your entire life, you get sick of the endless festivals and cultural events
Very expensive for just about everything
Poorly organised and hypocritical council
Hellish traffic jams (as bad as central London)

St Andrews:

Pros:
Nice compact town
Great beach
Golf courses
Good place to socialise - no bloody night clubs.

Cons:
The locals don't like us that much
You can get sick of walking to and from lectures pretty quickly
Because everything's smaller (pubs etc) everywhere tends to get pretty crowded on a Friday night

Wales (Sigh..)

Pro's:
Small Villages, by local school had a grand total of 50 Children at one time
AMAZING views
Nice Beaches
Not much in terms of traffic jams

Con's:
Not much to do
Not many shops
