NEw Cpu Fan

Ok today i went out and bought a new cpu fan for my computer.

i booted up the computer and the bios found some errors. Said that their was a cpu fan error and my hdds were not found.
i went intot he bios looked at the speed of the fan and it was at approx. 1500 rpm. Another thing when i enter the bios all my cdroms and hdds all say not detected and they are clearly plugged in.. any clues to thse problems? MY Aim: Spinwip.

Just covering the bases... Did you put the 3pin on the marked cpu connector? Are you getting any temp reads thru your bios? Did you clear cmos? You can always try to use the RESET to default thru bios.

if you look at the specs on the link you posted the speed of your fan is only 1700RPM... there might be something in the bios to alarm or reboot if fan fails... well it might think its failing cuz its a slow spinning fan... just disable that

what bios is it?
