Decision.

well the 8800GTX is DX10.. so I suppose it comes down to whether you want to wait for the r600 or not.

I really don't think I'll need to go as far as getting a r600, I can SLI the 8800GTX's right?

amazing..but probbably not double the r600...i heard it was running like 1000/1500 or something like that...which is INSANE for a freaking gpu...but yeah, probably 1.5-1.75 times the r600 i'd say? Unless they delay release and up the specs.....go dual 8800gtx's and wait for third gen..

1000/1500 as in core/memory? Yeah....1000mhz on a cascade, thats what. R600? Do you know performance of R600? Its obvious that SLI'd 8800GTXs will outperform one single R600, but thats comparing apples to oranges. You need to compare R600 to 8800GTX or the new revision coming out.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I hear that the R600 is going to be completely insane.
But I'll just go with dual 8800gtx's. thanks for the feedback everyone.

Okay, so I just realized I don't have enough money at all to get 8800GTX's what cards should I get and SLI? I was thinking something relatively cheap, but still decent. So would 7600 GT KO's be good for that?
Or what suggestions do you have?

How would the following setup be for games like, CS:Source, WoW, BF 2142 and such?

Intel Core 2 Duo Conroe E6600 2.4GHz FSB 1066, 4MB CPU
Cooler Master M4AE7E1 Liquid Cooling System
2048MB DDR II 800 Memory 240 Pin (Major Brand)
ASUS P5N SLI Motherboard
Western Digital 250GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache Serial ATA II
LG 18X DVD RW +- Dual Layer
eVGA GeForce 7600GT KO PCI-E 256MB TV-Out DVI
eVGA GeForce 7600GT KO PCI-E 256MB TV-Out DVI
Onboard Audio
Onboard Network Card
Apevia X-Plorer Case (black/red)
Neon Light Package - 1 Laser LED, 2 Neon Light (blue) (special)
550 Watt Thame Star Dual Fan Power Supply
1 Years Parts & 3 Years Labor Warranty

Does the mobo have good onboard audio? or is it crap? Because I've been hearing it isn't that great, so I could also get a Audigy SE 7.1 24 Bit if it isn't.
